When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. When you add sites for monitoring, we collect the URLs and domain names you provide.
Our fingerprint beacons collect the following data when they fire: the URL where the beacon loaded, the IP address of the request, the user agent, and the referrer header. This data is used solely to detect unauthorized copies of your content.
If your site received a notice prepared with CopycatProtect, you can respond through our response form. We collect the notice reference, your name, your email address, the page concerned and your message. We match your response to that notice and pass it to the customer who sent it, who may contact you. We do not decide disputes, we do not email you, and we use your details for nothing else.

Account data is retained while your account is active. Beacon ping and badge click data is retained for 90 days and then deleted automatically. Detection and takedown records are retained for 2 years for legal purposes, and responses to a notice are kept with the notice they answer.
You can export or delete your data at any time from the Settings page. Account deletion removes all associated sites, fingerprints, detections, and takedowns.
